Parbery is proud to announce the official expansion of our national footprint into Queensland, complementing our established presence in ACT and South Australia. Although we have had a presence in Queensland for over four years, we recently made the decision to invest in the growth of the team in Queensland.

The Queensland practice formally brings together a team of experienced specialists who have supported Parbery over several years and who have now established themselves locally. This marks a natural progression of our longstanding connection to Queensland, where many of our people originate from and have worked extensively across the region. The formation of a dedicated Queensland team reinforces Parbery’s ongoing commitment to investing in and supporting the state.

Leading the charge of our Queensland practice is our State Lead Des Sengunlu, who brings over 20 years’ experience across the private and public sector. Des is recognised for her ability to lead and deliver operational, strategic and highly sensitive programs and projects, underpinned by strong stakeholder engagement, relationship building, and a genuine commitment to mentoring and coaching.

Our presence already spans Southeast Queensland, with team members based in Brisbane, Toowoomba and the Sunshine Coast. The team brings deep professional services expertise, with experience across Commonwealth and State Government agencies, as well as the private sector at both domestic and national level.

Our co-CEO Nick Chapman says, “Expanding into Queensland is a deliberate and considered step in Parbery’s national growth strategy. We have long had strong connections to Queensland — through our people, our work and our relationships — and formalising that presence reflects our confidence in the state and our commitment to deliver exceptional services across the country. With Des leading the practice, we have exactly the right person to build on what is already a strong foundation.”

Beyond establishing a formal presence,  our presence in Queensland has already been actively contributing to the local community. Senior Manager Sam Lemin has led the hosting of the Toowoomba Defence Industry Networking events for over 12 months, with Parbery proud to be the official sponsor of all the events scheduled for 2026. You can find further information on upcoming Defence Industry Networking events here
