MEDIA RELEASE: Parbery welcomes Luke Williamson as Partner
Parbery is excited to announce the appointment of Luke Williamson as Partner. Luke brings a wealth of experience and expertise to the firm, with a distinguished career spanning 29 years in professional services and leadership roles.
In his new role, Luke will lead the expansion of Parbery’s commercial services practice for government and select private sector clients nationwide. An expert in strategy, process improvement and commercial operations, Luke will take on the role of our retired Nic Kelly.
“I’m a month in already and thoroughly enjoying the experience of working with senior and skilled experts across the range of our advisory capabilities,” he said.
Asked why he chose to join Parbery, Luke said, “You had me at authentic.” Parbery prides itself in authenticity as its core value, distinguishing itself as consulting’s authentic alternative. “That’s the secret to delivering outstanding client experiences and attracting and retaining great talent, and Parbery has it in spades.”
Luke brings the benefit of a long career as an advisory professional with major firms such as Accenture, EY, RSM and Aurecon. He had a stint as the CEO of the national professional body for Australia’s midwives where he led an organisational transformation. He has also completed executive secondments with state and federal government agencies.
His passion lies in helping organisations manage complexity, conceive new opportunities, and create more value for their stakeholders. He has tackled complex challenges across various sectors, including border security, national defence, health, human services, and the power and water industries.
In addition to his professional endeavours, Luke is an elected councillor with a New South Wales regional council, showcasing his commitment to community leadership and engagement – another clear alignment with Parbery’s values.
Luke is a devoted family man, married with two children. Together with his wife Louise, he operates a diversified farming business. Their outstanding contributions to agriculture were recognised in 2023 when they were named the Snowy Monaro Region Farmers of the Year.
A Partner aligned with Parbery values
Following the previous Partner’s retirement in 2023, the search for the company’s next Partner was an exceptional field, with the Partners excited by the calibre of individuals Parbery was able to attract.
Parbery partnered with local recruitment firm Turning Stones to find the best candidates suited to the role and to its philosophy of “people first”.
“From the first conversation, Luke demonstrated an alignment with our values. His experience in growing a business ethically and sustainably, particularly putting people first, gave us confidence in trusting him with this position,” said Kylie Burnett, Managing Partner.
Luke’s appointment will further strengthen Parbery as a generalist consulting firm that offers quality services with affordable pricing and uncompromising values.
