Brendhan Egan

Brendhan is a Canberra-based senior executive with over 30 years’ experience in government service with particular expertise in program management, governance, investment attraction, export promotion, defence administration and international relations. Brendhan has a proven track record in successfully providing leadership to deliver high performance and initiate new strategic directions.

Brendhan has brought a diverse background to Parbery, from providing committee support and international engagement for the Australian Parliament, to a decade in Austrade including offshore as Trade Commissioner Washington DC. He also spent eight years as a senior executive in the Department of Defence covering industry and export promotion, finance, governance, corporate services, workforce planning, ministerial and parliamentary coordination, program management, procurement and contracting, policy development, fraud control and international engagement.

This diversity of experience in complex and high-pressure roles has enabled Brendhan to develop an ability to understand organisational systems and cultures, how these intersect and how to successfully implement major reforms and manage demanding stakeholder relationships simultaneously.

Brendhan has led large teams and worked in senior leadership roles, dealing with complex and demanding challenges, including implementation of major reforms of Defence acquisition and sustainment management and sponsoring a large enterprise-wide systems project.  Brendhan is accustomed to managing the challenges and constraints of both large and small agencies and has a track record of achieving results in a diverse range of areas.
