Romany is a Canberra-based professional with more than 15 years’ experience and a focus on internal communication, organisational change and employee experience. She believes strongly in her role as an advocate for employees and stakeholders, placing their needs and impacts at the heart of all strategy. She seeks to understand and collaborate wherever possible, to best ensure organisational messages connect and resonate with staff and are readily internalised into their day-to-day work.
Romany has primarily worked in, and for, public sector organisations, including defence, environment, aged care, technology and public service development in Australia and Canada. Romany is a systems thinker, with an ability to synthesize complex information and identify opportunities to assist employees and stakeholders through transformation.
From self-taught website development in 1999, through to intranet and internet management and supporting Microsoft 365 implementations, Romany has a deep passion for digital and the opportunities it creates for empowering staff to achieve organisational outcomes. She has extensive experience shaping digital communication strategies and frameworks, as well as supporting digital capability development and communicating technical projects and issues.
